NGC 891 may look like a flying saucer, but we’re really looking at the narrow edge of a galaxy nearly 27.4 million light years away. Though classified as an Sb spiral galaxy, astronomers are unable to observe the true structure of its arms, and will likely never do so. At least there are plenty of other spiral galaxies to look at in the universe…
